Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival   /  Beijing

Transfer via: Flight - By your own arrangement

Welcome to Beijing, where the capital, political, and cultural center of China lies. We meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you have free time to relax.

Day 2  Beijing  (B,L,D)

After breakfast, begin the day's activity with a visit to Tian'anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world. Then, move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City", the biggest palace complex in the world. In the afternoon, visit Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served as Welcome Dinner.Badaling Great Wall

Day 3  Beijing (B,L)

You will be accompanied by our local professional guide to one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Great Wall, Badaling section in the morning. After lunch, continue to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. Conclude the day tour after seeing the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in the distance on the way to the downtown.

Day 4 Beijing / Lhasa (B,L)

Transfer via: Train(T27 20:09/18:38+2) - By our arrangementTemple of Heaven

After a relaxed breakfast at hotel this morning, tour to Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. In the afternoon, you will take a ride in rickshaw through some old "Hutongs", lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard). Tonight, you'll be driven to the Beijing west railway station, and you take the overnight train No.27 starting at 21:30 for Lhasa.

Train T27 will arrive at Lhasa Railway Station at 18:38 on the third day, running almost 47 hours and 28 minutes.

Day 5 Train Travel

Train to TibetThe train will run through the Xian, Lanzhou and Xining area in the daylight, and enjoy the gorgeous landscapes outside of the window. The train sightseeing and experience will delight you at most. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 6 Lhasa

You are in Golmud, Qinghai Province when you are awake, and heading towards to Lhasa, the last part of your train tour. The highest point will reach 5,072 meters above sea level, snow-capped mountain sightseeing all around.

Arrival at Lhasa at around 18:38, and your tour guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Free for the rest of the day to acclimate yourself to the high altitude.


Day 7 Lhasa (B,L)

Potala PalaceThis morning, visit Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama & listed as a world heritage site. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek here from long distances to worship. Finally, walk the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street.

Day 8 Lhasa (B,L)

After breakfast, you are driven to visit the Norbulingka Park, the former summer palace of Dalai Lama, and then come to Drepung Monastery, once the largest Monastery housing 10,000 monks in its heyday.

Debating at Sera MonasteryYour tour ends at Sera Monastery, and the “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” in Sera is very famous. Enjoy the debate!

Day 9 Lhasa/ Exit (B)

Transfer via: Flight   - By your own arrangement

Be transferred to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
