Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival / Xining

Transfer via: Flight - By your own arrangement

Upon arrival at Xining airport, to be met and transferred to your hotel in Xining.

Day 2 Xining / Lhasa (B,L)

Transfer via: Train (N917 20:28/21:50+1) - By our arrangement

Qinghai LakeVisit Qinghai Lake, which is the largest inland salt water lake in China. The ellipse-shaped lake looks like a huge poplar leaf sitting on the alpine prairie. Afternoon drive to Xining train station for the train to Lhasa. Overnight on the train.

Day 3 Arrive Lhasa

Witness the beautiful Tibetan Plateau with the nomads groups, such as Kekexili Nature Reserve on the train. Arrival at Lhasa around 21:50. Lhasa train station picking up and transfer to your hotel in Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa (B,L)

Potala PalaceThis morning, visit Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama & listed as a world heritage site. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek here from long distances to worship. Finally, walk on the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street.

Day 5 Lhasa (B,L)

Debating at Sera MonasteryAfter breakfast, you are driven to visit the Norbulingka Park, the former summer palace of Dalai Lama, and then come to Drepung Monastery, once the largest Monastery housing 10,000 monks in its heyday.

Your tour ends at Sera Monastery, and the “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” in Sera is very famous. Enjoy the debate!

Day 6 Lhasa / Exit (B,L)

Transfer via: Flight   - By your own arrangement

Be transferred to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
