The mountain is a sacred mountain has inspired artists and drawn Buddhist pilgrims for centuries and it is revered by all Tibetans. No Sherpa will lead a mountaineering group up Mt. Ever since Edmund Hillery and Tenzing Norgay, the first climbers to reach Mt Everest’s summit in 1953, Mt Everest has been attracting climbers of all levels. More and more mountaineers start from the Everest Base Camp trying to conquer the world’s highest peak while tourists trek to the foot of the peak to enjoy its beauty. At the foot of the peak is located the world’s highest temple, Rongbuk Monastery. The peak is blessed with many extreme wonders. The top part of the mountain is capped with snow all the year round, when the sun shines on the mountain, the peak is like white pyramid. More often, the thick freely moves clouds and fogs, seems as if a flag with the mast of the peak was swinging, will shroud the peak. This peculiar phenomenon of Mt. Everest is known as “Flag Cloud”. The bright glaciers are another wonder generated here, where ices are formed into various shapes like bridges, pagodas and other. Around Mt Everest, there are four peaks above 8,000 meters high, including Mt. Makarluh, Gosanthain, Zhouyo, Shishabanma and other 14 peaks above 7,000 meters which form an amazing picture of Mt. Everest Natural Scenery Area with jokuls, peaks groups, and mountain waves.

Climbing Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world, is lifelong dream for many adventure travelers. Beginning with the early British expeditions in the 1920s, Everest has held a magical allure with its imposing snow caps and stunning panoramic views. Yet, given the physical endurance required to approach Everest from the south side in Nepal, this dream is often unattainable. We invite you to live you dream in Tibet: Exploring Mt. Everest Base Camp from the north side, in Tibet, the Roof of the world.

To go to the Mt. Everest Area, besides the Tibet Entry Permit, you must further apply for Alien Travel Permit.

The best season for climbing Mt. Everest is the periods between late April and early June, along with early September and late October, among which less than 20 days are actually fine. So keep a very close eye on the weather changes there if you want to climb. Because the UV radiation increases at higher altitudes and reflect much by the surfaces of snow, so please use sunscreen with high SPF and wearing sunglasses and caps to protect yourself from UV damages.

The dry environment associated with higher elevation increases the likelihood of dehydration. Using lip balm to avoid lip chapped.
