Xian Travel GuideXi'an is usually a definite stop of almost travelers to China and the Terracotta Warriors are on everyone's must-see list.

However, except the Terracotta Warriors Xi'an has much more to see. Xian is the capital city of Shaanxi province in central China and is steeped in history as it not only was the cultural and political capital of China for hundreds of years watching the dynasties come and go but also the beginning point of the Silk Road leading west. As a crossroads for trade, Xian is filled with amazing historic wonders.

  1. More than 2000 years old Terracotta Army, constructed to guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang, the emperor who united China.
  2. The Ancient City Wall, is the most intact ancient Chinese City Wall in existence.
  3. A well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists- The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where visitors can get a bird view of Xi'an.
  4. Ulike most mosques in Middle Eastern or Arab countries, the Great Mosque of Xi'an is completely Chinese in its construction and architectural style. It is also one of the four biggest mosques in China.
  5. The Bell tower became the symbol of Xian since the date it was built in the year of 1384.
  6. The Forest of Stele in Xian originally built in 1087 holds a big collection of steles in China.
  7. A relic of finger bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha was stored in Famen Temple.
  8. Unveil the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his concubine Yang Guifei in Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Huaqing Hot Spring.
  9. Tang Dynasty Show is a good choice for visitors evening which bring you back to the most prosperous Tang Dynasty.
  10. Except the historic wonders, the natural beauty of Huashan Mountain is can not be missed. It is said the mountain is the first odd mountain under the heaven.
